It takes some time to find this restaurant, hidden away in a back alley but it’s worth the effort. In the middle of Sukhumvit’s concrete jungle, the grass is green and there is no noise of traffic. Kram does Thai dishes in a setting that’s an urban escape.

Go all out on the craft beers with a bunch of friends, or take your family just to change scenes for a little bit and choose some real Southern recopies of the menu, like the pak lieng pad khai; stir-fried melinjo leaves with eggs. It’s never a bad thing to have a whole lot of crispy dried shrimps in a dish for that crunchy texture. But one of my personal favourites is the laab moo tord; deep-fried minced pork with herbs. I’m not surprised if people would just bag this up and snack it away during a movie.

A perfect hideout, where the lovely staff serves some mean food.
